Retiring from active sailing

Post by John Ball »

After 65 years of sailing including the last 20 years of racing IOMs, it's time for me to retire from active sailing.

I have sold my lovely Vickers V8 and am no longer a registered/certificated IOM owner. So I will no longer be participating in class discussions, nor voting on class matters.

I will keep my interest in the racing rules and participation in forums on RRS discussions and continue to maintain my Racing Rules and Tactics web site.

I have a number of cherished friends around the world from my IOM sailing and I wish you all the very best and thank you for your help and advice.

Fair Winds and following seas - Thank you all

Hi John

Thank you for your numerous contributions to Radio Sailing, including holding many executive positions in the CRYA and IRSA as well as your numerous rules and tactics discussions. Although your retirement from active sailing is understandable given your lengthy tenure, it comes as a loss to our sport in general.
