Be very interested to know who the nominees are and see their candiate statements prior to their election given that nominations closed 7th July 05.

You and me both! This is a paraphrase of the message left for the World Council recently, following the negligible activity up to 7 July:
One of the most important responsibilities of the World Council is to ensure that IOMICA has an Executive to carry out the day to day running of the class association. The World Council nominates candidates, and the World Council, through owners, votes in the next Executive. Each Exec position requires two nominations. At the moment, exactly one nomination has been received for one Exec position, and zero nominations have been received for any other position. This matter now requires your immediate attention. The final deadline for last-minute nominations is 6 August.
