Marseille accomodations - Worlds 2007

Post by Steve Landeau » 25 Jan 2007, 17:53

Is there any preliminary information for accomodations in the general sailing area? I have inquired about some villas in the surrounding areas, and I have been advised to book early for that time period due to a large rugby competition being held during the same time as our regatta. Any advance notice as to where the skippers are to book their stay will be very helpful.
Thanks!

Large rubgy competition eh Steve? You might find that some Brits, French, and Australians, and EVERY New Zealander and South African might consider that an understatement.

It's the Rugby World Cup, and Marseille is the venue for six matches between September 8th and October 7th.

Hi Steve/Olivier,

I would also be interested to know of any villas/self-catering apartments in the Marseille area. I've been searching online, but most are either huge villas or pokey little bachelor pads, which could become a little cramped for a week n half.

Look forward to seeing you in Marseille.

Cheers,

Simon
