Live coverage fee

We would like to comment with you the Introduction of a Promotional Levy on NCAs to Fund Live Coverage of World
Championships.

We agree with the idea of being the NCA’s who may support this live coverage. But we don’t agree in the levy structure based on the NCA’s registered owners table.

This table and the votes corresponding to each NCA’s is not entirely directly proportional to their members. For example from
5-100 is 1 vote every 25 owners, from 101-300 is 1 vote every 50 owners, from 301-700 is 1 vote every 100 owners and then from 700 is 1 vote every 200 owners. The spirit and philosophy of this system is to give voice to the smallest NCA’s in any poll or election. Not for paying.

Now we find out that the members of the smallest NCA’s are paying more that the ones that are bigger. For example ESP pays 100€ with 100 members and AUS pays 300€ with 600 members. So AUS is paying only 3 times Spain does and is 6 times bigger. We pay 1 euro each member and AUS is paying 0,5€.

As you may understand this is not correct and the system must be directly proportional to their members.

If this proposal goes on it could let larger NCA´s block any future rule changes (on its own benefit), while smaller ones end up paying the bill.

As we said before we want the live coverage but paid in a fair way.
