Congratulations to Craig Smith for winning the Austrailian Nationals.

It is remarkable how the "old" TS2 can still hold up against new designs such as the Disco or Cockatoo

Cheers

Exactly, Nigel.
And I think that's why Craig should get more credit than the design. He beat some great sailors, with proven fast boats, with an old boat. It also proves that the IOM rule is working.
The TS2 was way ahead of its time, yes. But I think hull design has past the TS2. I give Craig more credit than the boat.
Well done Craig!!

Yes Steve I'll second that! :!:

My opinion with the IOM is, that 90% or more of winning an IOM event goes down to the skippers skills in racing as well tuning and tweaking ths maximum out of the boat he/she is racing.
If you have got these two areas covered there are proberbly at least 10 IOM designs capable of winning.
