I did not check with the other browsers to see if there was a difference, but I am now using the using the Moxilla Firefoc browser almost exclusively and your left edge material is a bit dark to see easily. Changing the text to a lighter color would be useful.

I guess you mean the menu starting with "H O M E". Strange it is yellow/hover greenish in IE anmd Crazy Browser and Netscape. Someone know something about Firefox and seen similar?

I was using a css file, maybe Firefox doesn't.

Hi Nick,

I had nprblems with the website, just got a comment regarding the content.

Its allways interesting to have pics of IOMs to get one or the other new idea on rigging details etc. It would be great if you got post some infos on the designs that are not so well known outside OZ such as the boats by Peter Kampe and Darren Searle.

Great site

I’m viewing it using IE6 at 1024 x 768 and a lot of pages have a horizontal scroll bar which I find slightly annoying

Thanks Chris. This is actually my second web site so I am not sure if the scroll bar is a function of the browser making allowances for the screen size but I suspect that it is. I have tried to get rid of it but problems show up in other ways on other size screens.

BTW I would like to collect some sizes from some of the types photographed so I can make a spec sheet. Would appreciate any known measurements and perhaps what spec you may find of interest (eg beam etc)

I'm using IE6 at 1280x1024 and it works fine (no bar...).

My only coment goes for the font used and but that is my very personal feeling...

I expect they are all 1000 long, max beam is interesting and I also think it is interesting to know the:
distance the mast and fin are from the bows
hull draught and beam on w/l (bit tricky to measure)
lead length
fin and rudder dimensions
rig dimensions ie where shrouds attach, spreader positions and sheeting attachment points
and of course the designers inside leg measurement.

I would also be very interested to know details of the hull construction. ie 2 layers of 200g/m2 cloth with SP epoxy.

The list could go on and on but I think that some designers might be a bit sensitive to you publishing their info.

I agree that some designers would be sensitive and one should respect that. If the boats are out and about, having already been sold to the public, then most of that info is well and truly in the publc domain and anyone with a ruler can establish beam, mast position etc etc. So anyone out there who wants to contribute some data please send me an email on the oziomz site.

One may assume that every boat is 1000mm long BUT some one may end up with one that is 975mm long. I think 1 metre is the max length not THE length (but I could be wrong).
