Re: What batteries are people using?
For some years I've been using LiFe batteries. Why? Somehow scared by the hazards of LiPo's http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=719116 but still in the need of a system able to deliver Amps without surgeproblems with demanding servo's. Just now I've been using a H....king divice named Zi...

Re: Single Panel Molded Sails
This practice of shaping polyester films (mylar among others brands) is everyday practice in sunfilm covering on doblecurved carwindows. You mount your film temporary on the outside off the glass on a soap/water mix and gentle applay heat with a hotair blower. With some practice you can schrink your...

In our fleet most boats are local ...

Here you can buy a BigMac for 3€, and legal too! I was discussing spreaders and a black hole (seemingly) in the classrules. I find mast/boom regulations quite sensible . So why not just make some interim rules as soon as possible ?. Being a newcomer I won't step any toes! But thanks for your thoug...

If the class fails to act quickly, CF parts will proliferate. And once they exist we have the problem of dealing with them And so what? My initial question arose from the simple need for some sets of spreaders for some new rigs. I then had some choices. Buy some from known sources at something like...

Hi Oliver: One fast way to protect your hull: Use a heavy cardboard tube (In this country used for pouring concretepillars) and two endpieces. One fixed , the other the lid. Remember holes for ventilation. My tube are about 20 cm wide and just fit my slim hull. For a TS2 some sort of barrel should d...

Reciever installation
Hi, I'm new i RCsailing. At last my homebuild, selfdesigned IOM are ready for the '06 campaign! One last question: I'm using a Hitec Eclipse Pro Car radiosystem with a HIS-03MK receiver. The antenna is rather short (35 cm) and now the question: Is it OK to keep it horizontal under the foredeck? The r...
