Hi Don
Your question may well lead to more clear ISAF rules and in turn to easier to understand IOM class rules. Absolutely no reason for you to say "sorry"!
Best regards

Re: Another query
Hi Bruce
I think the IOM class rules are ok as they are and that an IOMICA request is not needed, but Don Case raised an issue that could help to improve on the ISAF Standard Class Rules and the ISAF Equipment Rules of Sailing.
An issue that I, as chairman of the ISAF ERS Working Party, intend to ...

Re: Another query
Hi Don
A few comments:
Class rule C.7.5: " Boom spar curvature measured between points on the top of the spar 10 mm from each end ..."
Class rule A.5.2: "... when a term is printed in “ bold ” the definition in the ERS applies." So there is a sort of a "search engine" built into the class rules ...

Re: raising roles on NAVIGA???
Hi Tzvetan,
The latest version I have of the Naviga Racing Rules are in German and from 2002. Having read your message I searched the Internet but did not find any Naviga Racing Rules at all.
I can send you the 2002 rules if you send me a PM (search for my user name and click the "PM" button under ...

I had a look at "About ISAF" at http://www.sailing.org/173.php
Very clear and informative as you say, but I did not find the information you presented in your previous post.

I keep getting amazed by some of the things I read in this forum about how ISAF is supposed to work, supposed to want, etc.
As to ISAF regulations and requirements, remember that the ISAF Executive dont make the decisions, they only investigate and report back to the committees affected. They in ...

Sixth, and finally, I'm also not exactly sure what you are saying about RSD. I have always argued that while RSD does not currently have properly elected officers, RSD's agreement with IOMICA is still valid. If we directly affiliate with ISAF does that agreement/authority go away? If so, how? If it ...

Hi Roy
The reason is that ISAF-RSD, while seeking a final decision on the ISAF / ISAF-RSD relation, has continued to handle tasks like being class rules authority for the ISAF-RSD classes.
But, as stated in my previous posting, if IOMICA is unhappy with RSD carrying out this task for the One Metre ...

First of all: The ISAF-RSD PC is totally aware that constitutional deadlines have not been meet.
When I accepted to take on the task as PC acting chairman I asked the remaining committee members to stay on until we have had a DM vote on the future of the ISAF-RSD. For several reasons it has taken ...

The current ISAF-RSD agreement with ISAF has right from the start had the status of a temporary one. An agreement which enables RSD, while benefiting from a number of ISAF services, to plan for the integration of radio sailing into the ISAF organisational structure. RSD has currently no formal ways ...
