Most of other sailing RC Classes are much more open on mast material, and they have definitely gone for Carbon.

Formerly, Carbon masts were definitely more expensive than Aluminium or Wood. Times have changed. Perhaps a new discussion could seriously be opened on that subject, as availability/cost ...

As far as I know, Method 1 is the right one. Then to find 1/4 points you repeat the same method from the 1/2 origin founded on the edge of the sail.

I appreciate the idea of having RC sailing experienced judges made compulsory at big events.

So far, we consider doing the same in France at major events.

Judges may have great knowledge, but if they are unexperienced with RC, they may rapidly be faced with difficulties to follow the high speed ...

I bought a good Widget in last WC in Marseille, that I scrupulously maintain in the condition I got her, and I took part to last EC with her.
It was my first participation to such a big event, and I intend to take part to next WC in Barbados with that boat in the same maintained ...

Furthermore, this regatta is the major annual international event in France.
Every year many foreign skippers are coming...

That Dubrovnik EC was my first experience in an ISAF RC international champ.
